Looking for the best brunch in Bangkok for your next morning out? Sun Society, which opened on 1 November on Sukhumvit 31, is a new address to consider. Brunch runs every day it's open, from seven in the morning until five, and there's one menu all day.

A Bangkok brunch address for your shortlist

For readers choosing between Bangkok brunch spots, the useful distinction here is the format: one kitchen, one all-day menu and an early opening, rather than a weekend buffet or a fixed sitting. That makes Sun Society worth considering for a solo breakfast, a catch-up with friends or a leisurely meal around a visit to Phrom Phong.

This feature looks at one new address rather than ranking it against every brunch in the city. Compare the dishes, opening days and location with the kind of morning you want; our Bangkok city guide offers more ideas for the rest of the day.

The chef is Rafael Garcia. He cooked at the one-Michelin-starred La Réserve de Beaulieu on the French Riviera and ran a bakery in Paris. In Bangkok he was pastry chef at the one-starred Cadence by Dan Bark, then opened Scuba as head chef. Scuba was named Restaurant Opening of the Year 2026 by KOKTAIL Thailand.

Sun Society is the first place he has built for himself, and he built it for the opposite of a tasting menu.

What's on the brunch menu

The menu puts comfort food and healthy food next to each other, with Western plates alongside reworked Thai ones. Here's a picture of the salmon waffle below. It's the signature: a sweet potato waffle with poached eggs, house-cured gravlax, ikura and guacamole.

Other dishes on the menu:

  • Kha moo carrot tacos: slow-braised Thai pork leg in tacos made from carrot.
  • Shakshuka with feta, cottage cheese and herbs.
  • Steak and egg: wagyu, sweet potato, two sunny eggs and chimichurri.
  • Fluffy pancake stack with banana, blueberry and maple syrup, for the table to share.

It doesn't break the bank

A Michelin CV usually comes with a Michelin bill. Not here. Most plates cost 150 to 300 baht, so brunch for two with coffee comes in well under what most Sukhumvit hotel brunches charge per head. Ingredients are sourced locally where possible, and the full menu lists calories, macros and where the main ingredients come from.

Coffee from a Chiang Rai farm

The coffee is single origin and comes straight from Chiang Rai. It's grown in Srima, a protected area in the mountains of Wiang Pa Pao, at 800 to 1,500 metres. The farm is run by Joe and Mild, a young couple who came home from the city to work on their grandparents' land. Sun Society chose them on purpose: the founders want to work with local farmers rather than ship beans in from the other side of the world. (The farm's story)

Cocktails also feature on the menu; check current serving hours with the team.

Why it works for a long brunch

Nobody hurries you out. There's no time limit on a table and no minimum spend. Upstairs there's a working floor with fast wifi and power outlets by every seat, and there are free morning classes through the week: yoga, pilates, breathwork, HIIT and a run club. Loft Thai is now open at Sun Society, so you can also make time for a massage or wellness treatment during your visit. Contact the Loft Thai team to arrange your preferred treatment and appointment.

The team also plans longer opening hours and an outdoor cinema from December. Confirm the launch date and programme before arranging an evening visit.
